She lived her life in the presence of God through her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and gave Him the praise, honor and glory for carrying her through to the end of her earthly life and into His presence. She viewed her husband, Frank, as her wonderful soul mate and her sons, Henry, John and Walter as special gifts from God.

Born in Waco, Texas on October 15, 1944, Ann graduated from Dekalb High School in Dekalb, MS in 1962 as her class valedictorian. She was very involved in her school activities including the band as a saxophonist, and played the piano for groups at the school and for her church.

Ann was a 1965 Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Mississippi, earning her bachelors of science in business education in three. She was a Taylor Medalist and a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Mortar board, Alpha Lambda Delta, Phi Gamma Nu, and Phi Beta Lambda. She was very proud to be a member of the Alpha Psi chapter and of the Delta Gamma Fraternity. As all who knew her would quickly become aware, she was a dedicated and passionate fan of Ole Miss, and actively participated in supporting its academic and athletic programs. She was a lifetime member of the
Alumni Association and encouraged all her fellow graduates to stay involved with their alma mater.

Ann began her professional career at IBM, where she treasured the opportunity to travel the country as a business trainer and also educate those she met about her beloved home state. After her marriage to Frank brought her to Mississippi, Ann helped run two businesses: Standard Oil Company (from 1972 until 1982) and Chevron (from 1982 to 1991) jobber/distributor, and Jones and Son Funeral Home from 1977 to the present.

At the First Baptist Church of Richton, she enjoyed helping with the children's choir, the RA's and Vacation Bible School, singing in the church choir and was honored to play the organ until her health prevented her from doing so. In addition, she participated in the Richton Garden Club, serving as President and in other offices. She was involved as Cub Scout leader when her sons were in Cub Scouts and enthusiastically supported the Richton High School band, football, basketball, and baseball events as well as their many academic programs.

The family wishes to extend Ann's and their heartfelt appreciation to all the staff who so living cared for her from Oshner Medical Center, Jackson Oncology Clinic, Baptist Hospital, Forrest General Hospital, Perry County General Hospital and Asbury Hospice House.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Triplett and Margaret Belle McCully; brother, Ed McCully and a grandchild, Mary Elizabeth Jones.

Ann is survived by her husband, Frank H. Jones of Richton; three sons, Henry Lee (Dana) Jones II of Brandon, John Harold (Emily) Jones of Indianola, and Walter Parke (Lauren) Jones of Ft. Worth, TX; ten grandchildren, Sam, Ford, Alice Ann, Ruthie, Margaret, Sophia, Hamilton, Isaac, Parke and Will; and her sister-in-law, Judy McCully.

Ann was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson and attended the First Baptist Church of Richton.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 - 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Richton.
